Who can invite drivers and manage subscriptions?

Only the original registrant (Driver A) can:

  • Invite new drivers

  • Manage the vehicle’s Sync Code

  • Purchase and manage the subscription

Invited drivers (B, C, D, etc.):

  • Do not need to subscribe

  • Can use the app fully under the same vehicle

  • Can log mileage using their own driver label

This design keeps billing simple while allowing multiple drivers to share one vehicle seamlessly.

How should I set it up if I use the same car for personal, business, and shared driving?

You can simply use multiple driver labels for different purposes.

For example:

  • A: Personal use

  • B: Business use (owner)

  • C / D: Shared drivers

This allows one person to use more than one label if needed.
Each label keeps mileage records clearly separated, making reporting and exports much easier.

You can switch labels anytime, and each driver can keep their own default label.

Do I need to re-register every time I open the app on the same phone?

No.
Once a phone has successfully entered the main screen (either as the registrant or an invited driver), the app remembers that device.

👉 On the same phone:

  • You only need to enter the Sync Code

  • No Invite Code is required again

  • You will be taken directly to the main screen

This applies whether you are:

  • The original registrant (A), or

  • An invited driver (B, C, D, etc.)


How can iOS help remind me to log mileage automatically?

Multi-Mileage Tracker works with iOS Shortcuts to help you never forget to log mileage.

You can create automations such as:

  • When your car’s Bluetooth connects or disconnects, the app opens and reminds you to log mileage

  • When a specific app (for example, a ride-hailing app) opens, Multi-Mileage Tracker can open at the same time as a reminder for business driving

These automations run in the background and make mileage tracking almost automatic, without manual effort.

What should I do when I change to a new phone?

👉 If you are an invited driver (B, C, D, etc.):

  1. Ask the original registrant to invite you again

  2. Enter the same Sync Code

  3. Enter the new Invite Code

  4. Tap Refresh

You will keep your original driver label (such as B or C), and your records will sync to your new phone.


👉 If you are the original registrant (Driver A):

The original registrant is the owner of the Sync Code.

If you change phones, the recommended approach is:

  • Use your existing phone to invite your new phone

  • Join again using the same Sync Code

  • Select Driver A

This allows you to continue using the same shared vehicle data.

Tip: Keeping the original phone active until your current subscription period ends (monthly or yearly) helps ensure a smooth transition. After the subscription term ends, you can re-register on a new phone if needed.
